NEW RELEASE!
We created this wine to be low in tartness yet abundant in tannins, providing impressions of friendly chock richness. The palate enters rich with sweet, ripe tannins, expanding to a greater breadth of refined textures. The flavor profile includes dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, mocha, leather, brown spice, cedar, vanilla and sweet licorice. The primary goodness of this wine is the presence of balance, with a supple texture, approachable grip and a fruit of the earth essence.
Although Caymus Vineyards is best known for Cabernet Sauvignon, the Wagner family also produces a small amount of Zinfandel, which was a favorite of Caymus' Charlie Wagner. In many ways, Zinfandel is a quintessential California wine. It was one of the early varieties to be planted in Northern California by immigrants from Europe. Limited production.
Wine Spectator - 96 points!
Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is the only wine in the world twice honored as "Number one wine in the world" by the Wine Spectator magazine (chosen amongst approximately 10,000 wines). In addition, this wine was honored with the highest average score rating by the same magazine over the last 15 years.
Due to the limited availability of this item, the maximum order quantity is 6.
Meiomi (May-oh-mee) is a Pinot Noir, that gets its fruit from the most noteworthy coastal areas in California. The wine is crafted, lush, balanced and luxurious. Three of the California's most sought after coastal growing regions brilliantly meld together in this deeply flavored, stylish and truly balanced Pinot Noir; at its most fundamental core, it is an approachable, food friendly wine with a style and place all its own.
New Release! The style of this wine, traditionally known in France as oeil-de-perdrix (eye of the partridge), has been made by my family, using Pinot Noir grapes, for 37 years. Producing this wine requires a gentle hand and a readiness to press the juice quickly once it reaches the desired level of color. It is a true-to-the-roots style that is not a by-product of a red wine. The juice is partially fermented in French oak barrels, which add enough rich texture and light spice to beautifully complement the generous fruit flavors.
The vineyard sites in the southern alluvial plains of Russian River Valley nearby the ocean, which results in cooling fog coming through the Petaluma Gap both in the morning and the evening, along with afternoon breezes, helping to soften the effects of the warm sun.The combination of low vigor rootstock and alluvial soil, stress control of the vines, and the cool coastal climate, create a long growing season with small, concentrated, flavorful berries.
Located in one of the highest-plantable sites in the southern portion of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County known as the "Mission District". This pristine bench offers the vineyard cool, coastal days but it enjoys warmer afternoon temperatures and tamer winds than the northern portion of the appellation. The combination of this climate with site-specific farming consistently produces pinot noirs of great texture, depth and balance.

Clark & Telephone is one of three Belle Glos single-vineyard labels. This vineyard is located near the intersection of two lonely roads in the Santa Maria Valley (Santa Barbara County) hence the name "Clark and Telephone". This maritime site yields loose clusters with small, intensely-flavored berries. Through heavy pruning and crop-thinning techniques, we were able to bring the composition of these grapes into balance at harvest while preserving the spice-box notes, elegant texture and rich fruit core that are the hallmarks of the site.
