We created this wine to be low in tartness yet abundant in tannins, providing impressions of friendly chock richness. The palate enters rich with sweet, ripe tannins, expanding to a greater breadth of refined textures. The flavor profile includes dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, mocha, leather, brown spice, cedar, vanilla and sweet licorice. The primary goodness of this wine is the presence of balance, with a supple texture, approachable grip and a fruit of the earth essence.

Although Caymus Vineyards is best known for Cabernet Sauvignon, the Wagner family also produces a small amount of Zinfandel, which was a favorite of Caymus' Charlie Wagner. In many ways, Zinfandel is a quintessential California wine. It was one of the early varieties to be planted in Northern California by immigrants from Europe. Limited production.

Clark & Telephone is one of three Belle Glos single-vineyard labels. This vineyard is located near the intersection of two lonely roads in the Santa Maria Valley (Santa Barbara County) hence the name "Clark and Telephone". This maritime site yields loose clusters with small, intensely-flavored berries. Through heavy pruning and crop-thinning techniques, we were able to bring the composition of these grapes into balance at harvest while preserving the spice-box notes, elegant texture and rich fruit core that are the hallmarks of the site.
Located in one of the highest-plantable sites in the southern portion of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County known as the "Mission District". This pristine bench offers the vineyard cool, coastal days but it enjoys warmer afternoon temperatures and tamer winds than the northern portion of the appellation. The combination of this climate with site-specific farming consistently produces pinot noirs of great texture, depth and balance.
Our Taylor Lane Vineyard lies on a southwest-facing bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The site's cool, coastal temperatures and afternoon sunshine create a wine with the rich fruit flavors and bright acidity that are characteristic of wines from this intensely coastal area. To achieve full maturity at this site, we paired the early-ripening Dijon clones with an adapted traditional Italian trellis system that carries the vine shoots across a nearly horizontal canopy. The trellis acts as a solar panel for maximum ripening and permits dappled sunlight throughout the day and excellent air circulation to the fruit.
Meiomi (May-oh-mee) is a Pinot Noir, that gets its fruit from the most noteworthy coastal areas in California. The wine is crafted, lush, balanced and luxurious. Three of the California's most sought after coastal growing regions brilliantly meld together in this deeply flavored, stylish and truly balanced Pinot Noir; at its most fundamental core, it is an approachable, food friendly wine with a style and place all its own.
The Mer Soleil Vineyard is named for the two natural forces that create its growing conditions: sea (mer) and sun (soleil). With plantings at two separate locations in the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation of Monterey County, our Mer Soleil Chardonnay vines are nestled on east-facing lower slopes of the Sierra de Salinas range in what is one of the coolest, driest grape-growing areas in California. The climate of this coastal appellation causes morning and evening fogs and warm, bright afternoons, a combination that produces the high-quality fruit we use to make this bright, elegant Chardonnay.
This unoaked wine captures the pure, clean expression of Chardonnay from our Mer Soleil Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. The mineral essence is reminiscent of the classic Chablis style with the tropical elements found in the Chardonnays of the Pacific Coastline. Grapes are fermented in cement tanks, without oak contact.
Mmmmmm. What's In There? Gorgeous aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, vanilla, and lime zest enhance a deeply-flavored palate of tropical fruit, peach, pear and honeydew melon. The complexity of this wine is brought into balance with a rich, round, soft texture; fresh, supportive acidity; and a stunning, satisfying finish
